Sensing beyond contact.

I’m researching how to recover useful physical information from radar signals, working across embedded acquisition, phase processing, and signal-quality evaluation.

Begin with the signal.

I work across embedded radar acquisition and host-side processing. Raw in-phase and quadrature measurements provide a starting point for examining small changes in the physical environment.

Recover the underlying motion.

My processing work includes phase demodulation, unwrapping, detrending, and spectral estimation. These steps turn a difficult raw signal into something that can be inspected and evaluated.

Know when to trust a signal.

Motion, outliers, and poor signal quality can undermine an estimate. I’m working on acquisition and analysis tools that make those limitations visible, with gating and visualization alongside the processing pipeline.

A continuing line of research.

This is ongoing sensing research. It connects with my interest in ambient intelligence, while Olympus / MindMesh explores the application side: embedded devices, messaging, and coordination.
